Virginia State Police say one person was killed when a tour bus belonging to Miley Cyrus overturned, but the 16-year-old “Hannah Montana” star was not on board.

Sgt. Thomas Molnar says the bus overturned around 8:15 a.m. Friday on Interstate 85 about 40 miles south of Richmond. One of the other nine passengers had minor injuries. Police would not identify those aboard.

According to Miley Cyrus’ Web site, the pop singer is scheduled to perform Sunday in Greensboro, N.C.

Miley Cyrus is the daughter of country star Billy Ray Cyrus, who also appears on the family friendly sitcom “Hanna Montana.”

“The Twilight Saga: New Moon” has set a box-office record for midnight screenings. Summit Entertainment estimated Friday that it earned $26.3 million after opening early in the morning.

That would topple the previous midnight record, held by “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.” It earned $22.2 million this year. “The Dark Knight” from 2008 is third with $18.5 million.

“New Moon” is the second installment of the popular “Twilight” series. It opened at midnight in 3,514 theaters with a per-theater average of $7,476.

Paul Dergarabedian is a box-office analyst for Hollywood.com. He says the midnight start “portends an opening weekend that could be one of the biggest of the year.”

According to Deadline Hollywood, Spider-Man 4 producers have approached Anne Hathaway to star in the film. As of now, there is no word on what role they want her for. Hathaway joins Julia Stiles and Rachel McAdams as rumored ladies for the film.

Funnyman Will Ferrell is laughing all the way to the bank - he’s Hollywood’s Most Overpaid Star, according to a new Forbes magazine list.

The Elf star’s recent box office bombs have put him at the top of the annual list, with Forbes researchers estimating his films earn just $3.29 for every dollar he takes home.

Ewan McGregor is second on the new countdown - his films earn $3.75 for every dollar in his pocket.

Billy Bob Thornton, Eddie Murphy and Ice Cube round out the top five overpaid stars, while Tom Cruise, Drew Barrymore, Leonardo DiCaprio, Samuel L. Jackson and Jim Carrey are name checked in the top 10.

On the other end of the scale, Shia LaBeouf has been named Forbes’ Best Actor for the Buck - for every dollar he pockets for a film, his movies earn an average of $160.

An A-Team movie could face an uphill battle. The best memories of the TV series are cheesy, and the amount of TV remakes has gotten tiresome. But, if Jessica Biel says this is a good one, we’re happy to take her word for it.

“I think I was a little concerned, at first, about whether we were going to be really super-cheesy or dark, or what we’d be doing,” Biel said. “I think we’ve found lots of humor, at the same time that it’s quite emotional with dramatic moments. I think it’s going to be a lot of different things combined into this one movie. But, there are a lot of throw-backs and a lot of paying homage to the original show.”

Biel is credited as Lt. Sosa, but actually said she might be a captain. “It’s really fun. I’m getting to work a lot with weapons again, which I haven’t done in a long time. That sounds kinda weird, but it’s the best to learn about that kind of thing. The cast is wonderful. Joe Carnahan, our director, is hitting the nail right on the head. We’ve got a really interesting tone going on.”

Final word is reserved until the movie is out but all signs point to a kick-ass film. “We’re in the middle of it, so it’s hard to know. I think it’s going really well. Everyone says it’s looking really beautiful and the scenes are cutting together really well. That’s pretty much all I can say.”

Miley Cyrus refuses to watch the Twilight movies - because she’s scared of vampires.

The Hannah Montana star isn’t a fan of the Robert Pattinson pictures and is baffled by the hysteria surrounding the latest installment, The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

She says, “I’ve never seen it and nor will I ever. I don’t believe in it. I don’t like vampires… I don’t like the wolf that pops out of the screen when I’m watching my TV at night. I don’t like it. I don’t want anything to do with it. I don’t like the shirts. I don’t like any of it.”

“I feel really lame because everyone’s so excited. I’m like, ‘Don’t even talk about it.’”

This year’s “Sexiest Man Alive” is Johnny Depp, according to People magazine. It’s the 46-year-old star’s second time winning the coveted title. He also won in 2003.

Kate Coyne, senior editor at People, said on CBS’ “Early Show” that Depp has achieved an almost “iconic status in terms of sexiness.”

She explained, “Johnny Depp was someone who was sexy 10 years. He’ll be sexy 10 years from now. He’s someone who appeals to multiple generations of women.”

Depp has reportedly signed a massive $33.6 million pay deal to star in the fourth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise. The first three films have garnered more than $2.5 billion at the worldwide box office.

Sorry, ladies. This Edward Cullen thing is all an act. Robert Pattinson claims he’s not a romantic in real life. “I haven’t done that many romantic things in my life,” he said in a press conference, to the silent sounds of hearts breaking.

In the films, the vampire Edward protects his beloved Bella. Even though she wants to turn immortal for him, he’d prefer her to have a long, normal human life. Perhaps the closest he came to real life romance was a teenage incident, a trauma which might give insight into his swearing off of romance.

“I put a flower in someone’s locker when I was 15 years old. This girl, called Maria. Maybe I was 14. She actually thought it was from someone else, and the other guy claimed it as well, which was just great.”

Even though he is a musician, Pattinson has never used it to serenade a sweetheart. “Oh, no! I don’t think that would ever be romantic. You need to have so much balls to do that. Jesus Christ! I actually can’t think of a single romantic thing I’ve ever done. That’s terrible.”

At least you can see him be romantic in New Moon this Friday.

Socialite Nicole Richie has been hospitalized with pneumonia. Lionel Richie’s daughter checked herself into Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after developing symptoms for the illness. But fans have been warned not to worry - she is responding well to medical treatment.

Her representative tells UsMagazine.com, “Nicole has checked into Cedars-Sinai where she is being treated for pneumonia. She is doing well.”

Richie gave birth to her second child, son Sparrow with boyfriend Joel Madden, in September.

UGO reports that Julia Stiles has auditioned for a role in Spider-Man 4. No word on which role Stiles auditioned for, but it may be the Felicia Hardy/Black Cat role that has been the center of rumors lately. Rachel McAdams and Romola Garai have both been rumored for the role, though McAdams said this week that she has not auditioned for the role.

The movie is set to open on May 5th, 2011.
