- Daniel Bryan wrote the following on Twitter regarding the NXT premiere: “Finally saw the NXT debut. I was proud of my performance but definitely saw areas I could improve. I need a better mentor!”

- WWE began work two weeks ago on a new DVD project for WWE Hall of Famer Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat. The DVD should be finished by late Spring or early Summer and is expected to be at least a two-disc set. WWE has interviewed talents for the DVD, including Steamboat, and are going through video libraries to decide on matches for the DVD.

- WWE.com has announced that Shane “Hurricane” Helms and Paul Burchill have been released.

Shane Helms’ most recent WWE run began back in 2008. Since then, he has served as both a backstage interviewer and wrestler and performed as both Shane Helms as well as The Hurricane. He was arrested along with Chris Jericho in late January for public intoxication and was part of the ECW brand when it folded earlier this month.

Paul Burchill had been with WWE since 2005 and was also part of the ECW brand before it folded. There was talk he’d be moving to RAW.

Both men were wished the best in all future endeavors.

- Shawn Michaels and his wife Rebecca will be appearing this coming Saturday, February 27th, at Cabela’s in Fort Worth, Texas from 12-2pm.

- WWE Diva Michelle McCool wrote the following on Twitter the other night: “Diagnosis bronchitis ….side effect – no sleep!!!:-( I’m beggin for the sleep fairy to whack me in the head real hard real soon…..please!”

- WWE Superstar Shad Gaspard noted on Twitter yesterday that MMA fighter Bob Sapp ended up with the role of Ukafa in the new Conan remake. This is the same role that Shad recently tried out for and TNA star Ken Anderson tried out for.

- Hurricane Helms wrote the following on Twitter in response to the recent report about Drew McIntyre’s nickname backstage: “Btw, I gave McIntyre the nickname Avatar cuz he’s tall and lanky not cuz of who he’s dating. Although that is funny too. Just clarifying.”

- To celebrate the Hulk Hogan Fu Fest this weekend, Dixie Carter wrote on Twitter yesterday that 30 TNA staffers wore fu manchu’s at a meeting yesterday. Dixie also said she wore one out to a dinner she had with the president of the TNA trading card company.

- TNA’s Ken Anderson wrote on Twitter yesterday that Mickey Rourke beat him out for a role in the new Conan remake. This is the same movie that WWE Superstar Shad Gaspard tried out for and MMA fighter Bob Sapp has a role in.

- Hernandez & Matt Morgan vs. Beer Money for the TNA Tag Team Titles and Doug Williams vs. Kaz for the TNA X Division Title has been announced for the Destination X pay-per-view on March 21st.

- Chicago White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen wrote on his Twitter yesterday that he was looking for tickets to go to WrestleMania 26 and wrote how they’re way too expensive. In response to that Tweet, Ring of Honor sent him a message, offering tickets to their shows during WrestleMania weekend in Phoenix on March 26th and 27th.
