WWE Friday Night SmackDown Report – March 12th, 2010

We are live on tape from Seattle, Washington and your announcers are Todd ‘Grunge Announcing’ Grisham and Matt ‘As popular as Starbucks’ Striker.

We start off tonight’s show with a celebration of family values and Rey Mysterio comes to the ring and he is joined by his wife Angie, son Dominic, and daughter Aaliyah.

Rey says hello to the people of Seattle and then he talks about how everyone lets him into their homes so he is going to return the favor. He introduces his family to everyone. Rey says that everyone in the crowd is a part of his familia. Rey points out that his son is taller than him. He calls Aaliyah his princess. He talks about traveling all over the world to entertain the fans, but he says that some very important events are missed. Rey says that parents go out of their way to make their kids feel special. He says that tonight is his daughter’s ninth birthday. He wants everyone to join with him and sing Happy Birthday, but they chant it instead. He wants to make it a night that she will always remember.

They sing but it ends with CM Punk’s music playing and he comes out with Serena and Luke Gallows. Punk tells them not to stop on account of him and Punk finishes off the song with a solo. Punk tells Rey that he looks scared but he is not out here to hurt him. He is not out here to hurt Rey’s family. He is happy that Rey’s family and his family is here tonight. Punk says that there is a celebration and that is Wrestlemania. Punk challenges Rey to a match at Wrestlemania. Punk says that he wants to challenge Rey to a match tonight. He wants to wrestle Rey right now.

Rey tells Punk that this isn’t the time.

Punk tells Aaliyah that as a birthday present, he will let her shut her eyes while he reduces her daddy to tears and begs for mercy. Punk talks about how Dominic is all grown up now and that we have seen him grow up before our eyes. He wonders if Dominic has ever heard his father squeal like a pig because someone is stomping on his father’s surgically repaired knees. Punk says that it is okay if he plugs his ears.

Rey drops his mic as Punk turns his attention to the beautiful and voluptuous wife. Punk says that when he is done with her husband, it will be the worst of times. He tells her to cover her mouth to muffle her screams.

Punk asks Rey if he is afraid that his family will watch him get hurt and then calls Rey a coward. He says that everyone knows it, especially his daughter. Punk wants to know what it is going to take for the giant killer to come out.

The crowd chants 619 and Punk wonders where the 619 is and where the ultimate underdog and machismo are. Punk says that Rey never had machismo or courage. Punk asks what will it take. Punk says that he will drop to Rey’s level and Punk gets on his knees. Punk asks Rey if he is turning him down. Punk wants to know what will it take and then Punk slaps Rey. Rey has his family leave the ring and Rey follows. Punk tells everyone to watch Rey take his walk of shame. Punk sings to Aaliyah one more time.

We go to commercial.

We are back and the Miz comes to the ring and he has Daniel Bryan following him. We take a look back at Monday’s Raw when Miz and Big Show faced R Truth and John Morrison.

Miz says that R Truth and John Morrison think they can come to Raw and embarrass the last truly great tag team. Miz throws out a ‘really’. Miz says that Morrison and Truth think they will go to Wrestlemania and win his tag team titles. Miz throws out a ‘really’. Miz wants to know if the fans think that Truth and Morrison can win and Miz throws out a few ‘reallies’ at the fans. Miz says that he will be facing R Truth while Big Show will be facing John Morrison. At Wrestlemania they will show that they are the best tag team.

Match Number One: R Truth with David Otunga versus The Miz with Daniel Bryan

Miz with a forearm to the back and then he sends Truth into the turnbuckles and follows that with punches and knees. Miz is warned by the referee. Miz with an Irish whip but Truth with a float over and then he does the split as Miz charges at him out of the corner and then Truth hits the leg lariat. Truth with a clothesline that sends Miz over the top rope to the floor and Truth with a pescado onto Miz. We go to commercial.

We are back and Miz with a reverse chin lock on Truth. Truth with a belly-to-back suplex and both men are down. Miz punches Truth in the head. Both men exchange forearms with Truth getting the advantage when it goes to punches. Truth with a hip toss and clotheslines. Miz with a kick to Truth but Truth with a pump kick for a near fall. Truth tries for a slam but Miz with a neck breaker combination and he gets a near fall. We see Daniel Bryan looking at his mentor. Miz waits for Truth to get to his feet to hit the Skull Crushing Finale but Truth blocks it and gets a rollup for a near fall. Miz pulls the tights and rolls through but can only get a near fall. Truth with a kick and he misses the axe kick. Miz tries to use the ropes for extra leverage on the cover, but Bryan pushes his feet off the ropes. Miz looks at Bryan and wants to know what he did. Miz turns around and he gets the flying corkscrew forearm for the three count.
Winner: R Truth with an assist from Daniel Bryan

We go to commercial.

We are back with an Undertaker/Shawn Michaels video package for their match at Wrestlemania with comments from some of the wrestlers about Taker and Shawn.

We run through the card for Wrestlemania.

Drew McIntyre is walking in the back and Teddy Long wants to talk to the playa. Teddy reminds Drew that he lost both of his Money in the Bank Qualifier matches only to have Vince McMahon expunge and eradicate the losses from the record. Now Drew has a third chance to qualify and Teddy asks Drew if he is proud. Drew says that he is proud that he is the undefeated Intercontinental Champion and he is proud that he qualifies for the Money in the Bank Match tonight. Teddy mentions that Vince has hand picked Drew’s opponent tonight. Drew reminds Teddy that Vince is his boss. Teddy acknowledges that and Teddy says that he knows that he is still on probation. Teddy says that he cannot change the match, but he says that he can make the match a winner take all Money in the Bank Qualifier and an Intercontinental Title Match. Teddy tells Drew that if he loses, he can kiss that streak goodbye.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Did You Know that they are still showing graphics about the people attending Wrestlemania.

We see the two non losses that Drew McIntyre had to not get into the Money in the Bank match leading up to tonight’s match.

Match Number Two: Drew McIntyre versus Aaron Bolo in a Money in the Bank Qualifier Match and Intercontinental Title Match

They lock up and McIntyre with a knee and forearm before he sends Bolo into the corner. Drew with clotheslines in the corner followed by a short arm clothesline and a the double underhook DDT for the three count.
Winner: Drew McIntyre

After the match, Drew goes to Matt Striker and wants him to tell the television audience that Drew is going to Wrestlemania and has Matt raise his hand.

Big Show walks in the back and we go to commercial.

Match Number Three: Big Show versus John Morrison

Morrison with kicks and punches to Show as he avoids the big man. Show with a running shoulder tackle and Morrison goes down. Show sends Morrison into the corner and Show chops Morrison. Show throws Morrison to the mat and then he continues to pull Morrison around the ring. Morrison with punches to Show but Show with a head butt. Show walks across Morrison’s chest and then he punches Morrison in the chest. Show with another chop to Morrison’s chest. Show with a chin lock to Morrison and he tries to choke Morrison out. Morrison tries to escape the hold or get to the ropes. Morrison with elbows to Show and he gets to the ropes. Show kicks Morrison in the head and he goes to the floor. Morrison gets back to the apron and Show pulls Morrison into the ring. Morrison with a back kick but Show pushes Morrison away. Show charges into a boot and then Morrison with a drop kick to the knee and Show goes into the turnbuckles. Show tries for a choke slam but he puts Morrison on the apron. Morrison with a kick and then Morrison goes up top for a missile drop kick and Morrison gets a near fall. Morrison with the Shining Wizard but he can only get a two count. Morrison tries for the springboard spin kick but Show with the knockout punch for the three count.
Winner: Big Show

We go to commercial.

We are back and Tiffany is in Teddy Long’s office and Teddy says that he missed Tiffany. He welcomes her back to Smackdown and Tiffany says that she is looking forward to working with the Divas on Smackdown. Tiffany asks Teddy about Mickie James and Teddy says that he called her and she is doing fine.

Vickie Guerrero enters and Teddy introduces Tiffany to Vickie and says that she is his friend. He tells Vickie to welcome her to Smackdown. Vickie says that Tiffany is the reason why ECW was canceled and replaced by NXT. Teddy says that is not true. Vickie tells Tiffany to go back to being a babysitter and leave things to the big girls. Vickie says that she can make all of the decisions in her role and she tells Tiffany that she should get on her good side. Teddy tells Vickie to calm down because Tiffany is here to wrestle and not to take Vickie’s job . . . at least not right now. Vickie starts to laugh and Tiffany wants to know what is so funny. Vickie tells Tiffany that she will be facing Michelle McCool tonight.

Match Number Three: David Hart Smith and Tyson Kidd with Natalya versus Cryme Tyme

Tyson and JTG start things off and Kidd with a kick and forearms. JTG with a sliding punch and drop kick and then he dances around in the ring. JTG tries for a float over in the corner but he lands awkwardly and Kidd clips JTG in the corner. Kidd wrings JTG’s leg into the ring post. Kidd with a single leg crab and the lights go out.

The lights come back on and The Undertaker is in the ring and he gives Kidd a big boot and then he punches Smith in the corner. Shad checks on JTG but Taker grabs him by the throat and hits a choke slam. Taker with a boot to Kidd and then he gives Kidd Last Ride. Taker gives Smith a tombstone piledriver and then he sees JTG still moving and JTG begs for mercy before Taker puts JTG in Hell’sWe go to commercial. Gate. Taker surveys the damage and then he looks at the Wrestlemania sign because he is contractually obligated.

We go to commercial.

We are back with the Raw Rebound.

Did you know that Steve Austin is the guest host this week and we will have three matches from Wrestlemanias past.

Match Number Four: Michelle McCool with her synchronized posing team of Layla and Vickie Guerrero versus Tiffany

Michelle takes a look at her opponent and pushes her down but before they can lock up, Michelle wants Tiffany to wait so she can do some push ups. Tiffany teases going after Michelle and Michelle is not happy. Tiffany with a reverse atomic drop and clotheslines to Michelle. Tiffany with a drop kick and a kick that sends Michelle to the floor. Tiffany goes out after Michelle and they fight around ringside. Tiffany with forearms to Michelle but Michelle pushes Tiffany and Tiffany responds with an elbow. Tiffany Irish whips Michelle into the ringside barrier. Vickie with a spear on Tiffany and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner: Tiffany by disqualification

Michelle with a running knee to the head against the ringside barrier and then she taunts Tiffany.

They return to the ring for a three-on-one beat down but Beth Phoenix comes to the ring and she pushes Layla into Michelle and then hits a double clothesline. Beth with a shoulder to Layla and then she knocks down Michelle. Beth throws Layla to the floor. Vickie is still in the ring and Beth keeps her from leaving the ring. Vickie has something to say to Beth and Vickie thinks she is okay but Beth clotheslines Vickie. Beth tries for the Glam Slam but Michelle and Layla come into the ring and Vickie is able to get away.

Beth helps Tiffany up and raises Tiffany’s arm.

Kane is walking in the back and we go to commercial.

We are back and did you know that WWE Magazine sells a lot in Wal-Mart.

We have an Earlier Tonight Moment of CM Punk’s American Idol tryout.

Match Number Five: Luke Gallows with CM Punk and Serena versus Kane

They lock up and Kane with a side head lock. Kane with a shoulder tackle and near fall. Kane with a side head lock again but Luke punches Kane in the corner. Luke with an Irish whip but Kane comes out of the corner with a clothesline. Kane punches Luke and the referee tries to stop Kane. Kane with more punches but Luke with a flying shoulder tackle and then Luke kicks Kane but he misses an elbow drop. Kane with a drop kick to Luke and Kane sets for the choke slam but Punk pulls Luke out of the ring to regroup.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Luke punches Kane and hits a suplex for a near fall.

We see Darren Young watching on the monitor in the back. Luke with a chin lock but Kane with a punch. Luke with a shoulder tackle and then he hits a splash for a near fall. Luke punches Kane and the referee warns him and pulls him away. Luke with a reverse chin lock and then he connects with a knee. Kane with a big boot and then he follows with an uppercut. Kane with an Irish whip and clothesline into the corner followed by a side slam for a near fall. Kane goes up top for the clothesline and he hits it. Luke with a back elbow and short arm clothesline for a near fall. Luke with a punch but Kane with a choke slam but CM Punk comes into the ring and attacks Kane. The referee calls for the bell.

No Contest

After the match, Punk kicks and knees Kane and then hits Go To Sleep on Kane.

Rey Mysterio comes out he takes off his first shirt and takes off his watch. Rey comes to the ring and Punk goes to the floor. Rey and Punk fight on the floor and Rey sends Punk into the ringside barrier and then the battle goes to the floor. Referees have to separate Rey and Punk and Punk heads to the back.

We go to commercial.

We are back and it is time for the Highlight Reel with your host Chris Jericho. Before Chris can introduce his guest, Edge comes out and joins Chris in the ring.

The fans chant spear as Edge and Jericho stare at each other. Jericho notices the smile on Edge’s face and wants Edge to share. Edge points out that Jericho’s show is called The Highlight Reel but the only highlight that happens between the two of them is this move that he seems to always hit on Jericho. He is drawing a blank so the crowd helps him with the name. Jericho says that was pretty humourous that the sheep and mindless drones are chanting spear at the drop of a dime. Jericho calls it fantasy and he only deals with reality. Jericho says that he always tells the truth. He says that they could have been the greatest tag team, but Edge was selfish and got hurt. Jericho says that Edge gets to the cusp but he always gets injured. Jericho mentions that when he was stealing the show at Wrestlemania 19, Edge was on the sidelines. Jericho wonders how much time Edge has missed due to injury. Jericho asks Edge if he knows what Jericho was doing while Edge was licking his wounds, and Edge points out that Jericho was losing.

Edge reminds Jericho that he lost to Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 19; and he lost to Christian at Wrestlemania 20. Jericho says that he was forging a legendary Hall of Fame career that is unparalleled to anyone of this generation. Jericho says that he was doing it injury free. Edge wants to know what the point is. Edge says that he has been injured because he only knows one way to do things in this business and that means taking risks. Edge points out that he has taken dives from twenty foot ladders. He has jumped face first into flaming tables. He has landed in thumbtacks. Edge says that his style might have taken years off his career, but he has no regrets. Edge tells Jericho that he will take whatever risk it takes to get back his World Title.

Jericho tells Edge that he has taken risks, especially choosing to face him at Wrestlemania. Jericho reminds Edge that bad things happen when they are in the ring together and he calls Edge a fraud. Jericho points out that Edge was at his best when he was with Vickie Guerrero.

Edge says that everyone has a girlfriend they regret having. Edge says that for him it was Vickie, but for Jericho, it was the Big Show. Edge says that he takes risks, but they are calculated. Edge reminds Jericho that he will win the World Title at Wrestlemania.

Jericho tells Edge that he should have stayed away from him because bad things happen when they are around. Jericho points out that Edge came back courageously after only six months when doctors said it could be nine months. Jericho reminds everyone that Edge won the Royal Rumble. Jericho says that he doesn’t think that Edge is at 100%. He says that Edge is still injured. Jericho says that the sheep would love to see Edge standing with his hand raised high, but the reality is that at Wrestlemania, he will beat Edge and on top of that, he will hurt Edge and send him home for another six months. Jericho says that is a guarantee.

Edge tells Jericho that he is going to do something at Wrestlemania. He says that he will make Jericho an ex-champion and he will do it after hitting a spear. Jericho hits Edge with the mic and then one of the stools. Jericho rearranges the furniture and kicks Edge while asking him about the spear. Jericho whips Edge with his jacket and then he tries to send Edge into the Jeritron 6000 but Edge escapes and then he hits the Impaler DDT. Edge sets for the spear but Jericho hits Edge with the title belt and Edge goes down.

Jericho starts to chant spear as he points at the crowd and then Jericho gets on his knees and says spear a few times to Edge.

WWE Superstars Report – March 11th, 2010

We start off tonight’s show with the Smackdown brand and your announcers are Matt Striker and Todd Grisham.

Match Number One: Dolph Ziggler versus Shelton Benjamin

Ziggler with kicks and punches as the match starts and then he backs Shelton into the corner but Shelton with an Irish whip. Ziggler with the sleeper but Shelton with a snap mare to escape the hold. Ziggler with a drop kick to the knee followed by a leaping leg lariat for a near fall. Ziggler with a kick to the back of the head and then he hits the leaping elbow drop for a near fall. Ziggler with a reverse chin lock but Shelton with elbows and punches. Benjamin with a few clotheslines but he misses the Dragon whip but he does not miss with the Samoan drop and gets a near fall. Benjamin puts Ziggler on the turnbuckles and then we see punches from each man but Benjamin jumps to the buckles but Ziggler pushes him off but Benjamin drops Ziggler on the ropes. Ziggler recovers first and hits the Zig Zag but Benjamin kicks out at two. Ziggler waits for Benjamin to get up and he applies the sleeper. Benjamin tries to get to the ropes but Ziggler applies a body scissors and Benjamin goes out and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler

We go to commercial.

Match Number Two: Mike Knox versus Goldust

They lock up and Goldust backs Knox into the corner but Knox with a punch while the referee tries to separate them. Knox with kicks in the opposite corner and the referee warns Knox. Goldust with punches but Knox with a drop kick for a near fall. Knox with a kick and snap mare followed by a reverse chin lock. Goldust with the drop down uppercut followed by a clothesline and reverse atomic drop. Goldust gets a near fall after a bulldog. Goldust goes to the turnbuckles and punches Knox but Knox pushes Goldust away. Knox charges at Goldust but Goldust with a power slam for a near fall. Knox misses a pump kick but he hits the cross body for a near fall. Goldust hits the Final Cut for the three count.
Winner: Goldust

It is time for an NXT video package and recap from this week.

We are back with a Wrestlemania Recall and it is from Wrestlemania XX and it is the Match that Dave Scherer made Irrelevant between Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg.

We are in the second half of the show and it is time for the Raw portion of the show. Your announcers are Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole.

Match Number Three: Santino Marella versus Zack Ryder with Rosa Mendes

They lock up and Santino with a side head lock and take down. Ryder with a side head lock and take down of his own. Ryder with a shoulder tackle but Santino with an arm drag and slam. Santino tries for a monkey flip but Zack holds on to the ropes. Ryder with a clothesline and neck breaker for a near fall. Ryder with a reverse chin lock. Santino with a snap mare but Ryder with a knee. Ryder sends Santino into the turnbuckles. Ryder pie faces Santino but he Hulkas Up. Ryder with punches but Santino with punches of his own. Santino with a forearm and a split followed by the hip toss. Santino sets up the cobra and he hits Ryder in the head. Rosa gets on the apron and that allows Ryder to drop Santino on the top rope and he hits the leg lariat and the Zack Attack for the three count.
Winner: Zack Ryder

Match Number Four: Montel Vontavious Porter and Christian with Heath Slater versus Chavo Guerrero and Carlito with Michael Tarver

Porter and Chavo start things off and Chavo tries for a kick and so does Porter. They lock up and Chavo with a waist lock. Porter with a standing switch into a side head lock. Porter with a flying forearm for a near fall. Porter with a front face lock and he tags in Christian. Chavo escapes from Porter and tags in Carlito. Christian does some clapping while he waits for Carlito to lock up. Carlito with a kick and side head lock. Christian with a drop kick for a near fall. Christian runs into a knee from Carlito and then Carlito knocks Christian off the apron and he hits the ringside barrier. We go to commercial as Carlito goes to the floor.

We are back and Carlito is working on Christian’s back but Christian gets to his feet and he punches Carlito. Carlito hits the springboard back elbow for a near fall. Carlito with a slam and then he goes to the turnbuckles but he comes off and connects with Christian’s boot. Porter tags in and hits an overhead throw followed by double sledges. He knocks Chavo off the apron and then hits the facebuster before doing the ballin’ elbow. He waits for Carlito to get up but Chavo pulls Carlito out of the ring. Porter with a baseball slide into Chavo and Carlito. Porter goes to the apron and Chavo pulls Porter off while Carlito distracted the referee. Carlito runs Porter’s back into the ringside barrier. They return to the ring and Carlito works on Porter’s back. Carlito with a slam and then he tags in Chavo who hits the slingshot senton before kicking Porter and hitting a Latino uppercut and getting a near fall. Chavo with a kick but Porter blocks a punch and connects with punches of his own. Chavo with a drop toe hold and forearms to the back. Chavo sends Porter into the corner and he punches Porter. Carlito chokes Porter with the tag rope while the referee was not looking. Carlito tags in and Porter takes a swing at Tarver. Carlito and Chavo work over Porter and Tarver holds up his fist to Porter. Carlito and Porter exchange punches and Carlito with a kick but Porter drives Carlito into the mat. Porter tries to make the tag and he succeeds. Chavo tags in too. Christian punches Chavo and Christian with the running forearm. Chavo with a float over but Christian with a back kick and sunset flip from the turnbuckles. Christian with a punch and then he kicks Chavo and hits a back elbow from the turnbuckles. Christian with more clapping and he hits a knee lift on Carlito. Christian tries for another sunset flip from the turnbuckles but Chavo drops down and gets a near fall. Chavo gets two of the three rolling suplexes but Christian with an inverted DDT. Carlito breaks up the cover and then Porter and Carlito go to the floor. Chavo blocks the Killswitch and Chavo hits a jackhammer and goes up top for the frog splash but he misses and Chavo rolls through. Chrstian with the Killswitch for the three count.
Winners: Christian and Montel Vontavious Porter

Spoilers: WWE SmackDown Tapings – March 12th

Dark Match:

* Jimmy Wang Yang defeated Tyler Reks

SmackDown, Airing Friday:

* The family of Rey Mysterio come out with him and they sing happy birthday to his daughter. CM Punk and friends come out to cut a promo. They issue a challenge to Rey for tonight and WrestleMania. Rey also had Eddie Guerrero’s son with him. Punk sang happy birthday also to Mysterio’s daughter and it was very creepy.

* R-Truth defeated The Miz after Daniel Bryan, who was at ringside, pushed Miz’s feet off the ropes when he was trying to get a pin. David Otunga was also at ringside.

* Backstage with Drew McIntyre and Teddy Long. Vince McMahon has wiped last week’s loss away like before. Vince picked Drew’s opponent tonight. Winner will get a spot in MITB and be the IC Champion.

* Drew McIntyre defeats a local wrestler named Adam Bold. Drew earns a spot in Money in the Bank and retains his IC Title.

* Big Show defeated John Morrison with the knockout punch.

* Backstage segment with Tiffany and Vickie Guerrero. Vickie makes Tiffany vs. Michelle McCool for tonight.

* Cryme Tyme vs. The Hart Dynasty ends in a no contest when The Undertaker comes out and lays all four out with his trademark moves. Taker puts the Hell’s Gate on JTG.

* Tiffany defeats Michelle McCool by DQ when Vickie Guerrero interferes on the outside. Tiffany gets triple teamed when Beth Phoenix comes out to save her. Beth is alone in the ring with Vickie and hits a big clothesline. Layla and McCool pull Vickie to safety to end a good segment for the Divas that the crowd was into.

* Kane vs. Luke Gallows goes to a no contest when CM Punk comes out and hits the GTS on Kane. He had to re-do it after botching the first. Rey Mysterio came down and chased Punk to the back.

* The ring is setup for the Highlight Reel with Chris Jericho. His guest Edge comes out and they cut promos. Jericho said he knows Edge is still hurt and he’s going to put him out of action. Jericho hit Edge with the mic. Edge went for a spear but got hit by the World Title. Jericho starts yelling “Spear!” at Edge while he’s down.

WWE NXT Report – March 9th, 2010

We start off with a look back at last week’s episode of NXT including the tension between David Otunga and R Truth.

We are live from Seattle, Washington and your announcers are Michael ‘Supersonics’ Cole and Josh ‘Tossed Salad and Scrambled Eggs’ Mathews with your host Matt ‘Frasier Crane wasn’t verbose enough’ Striker.

Matt Striker reminds us of the concept for NXT and the rules.

We see footage from the non title match last night on Raw featuring R Truth and The Miz.

Match Number One: R Truth and David Otunga versus The Miz and Daniel Bryan

Before the match starts, The Miz has a pep talk for his rookie. He tells Bryan that he is 0 and two and hasn’t proven himself to anyone, especially the pros. Miz points out that he was jumped on Monday so this match is important. He tells Bryan that if he is pinned tonight, that he will make sure that Daniel never achieves his goal of becoming a WWE Superstar and he will have him thrown off NXT.

Bryan and Truth start things off and Bryan offers his hand but Truth dances instead. They lock up and Bryan works on the arm but Truth with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Truth blocks a hip toss and hits a short arm clothesline for a near fall. Otunga tags in and they hit a double shoulder tackle and Otunga gets a near fall. Otunga works on the arm and then he tags Truth back into the match. Truth with a kick to the arm but Bryan with European uppercuts. Truth with a clothesline and then he clotheslines Bryan over the top rope to the floor. Miz misses and he goes to the floor. Otunga sends Truth over the top rope for a plancha and we go to commercial.

We are back and Bryan has Truth in a Dragon sleeper. We see footage from the commercial break when Miz berated Bryan and then Miz kicked the ropes and Truth hit the mat hard. Back to live action and Bryan with a rear chin lock. Truth with elbows and a punch but Bryan with a knee to the midsection. Miz yells at Bryan and tags in. Miz with a front face lock. Miz turns it into a cravate and then he keeps Truth from making the tag. Truth with a sunset flip for a near fall and then Miz hits a clothesline and he punches Truth. Miz chokes Truth in the ropes but then he misses a splash in the ropes and Truth tries to make the tag. Miz keeps Truth from making the tag and then Truth kicks Miz away and Otunga tags in and hits clothesline and a back elbow. Otunga with an Irish whip but he runs into a boot. Otunga with a power slam and Bryan makes the save. Miz hot shots Otunga and Bryan makes the tag and hits a missile drop kick and then he kicks Otunga in the chest. Otunga tries for a spinebuster or something else but Bryan with a heel hook and Otunga tries to escape the hold but Miz makes the tag. Miz yells at Bryan and slaps him. Bryan and Miz push each other and Truth interferes and hits Miz with a leg lariat and Otunga with a spinebuster for the three count.
Winners: David Otunga and R Truth

Bryan leaves the ring without his mentor.

Miz yells at Bryan and tells him that he makes him a star. Miz continues to yell at Bryan and Bryan wants a piece of Miz.

We go to comments from Heath Slater and he says that you have to be ready for anything and he was caught by surprise last week when Carlito spit his apple in his face. We see the footage and Slater’s comments. Slater says that isn’t cool and if he had an apple, he would have thrown it at his face instead of taking a bite and spitting it in his face. Slater says that Carlito better watch out.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Matt Striker wants to know if Miz let Daniel Bryan down by losing after his ultimatum. Miz says that he is the Unified Tag Champion and United States Champion. Bryan says that every tag team partner that Miz had carried him. Miz tells Bryan that he is the pro and the talent of every team he is in. Bryan wants to know if Miz is so talented, why did he lose.

Cole and Josh talk about the situation between Miz and Bryan. Now it is time for a video package on Justin Gabriel.

Justin says that people call him the poster boy and he wonders why. He says that his father was a wrestler in Africa. He mentions that he played rugby. He says that he has a hybrid style that is a mix of the British and Japanese style. He says that he doesn’t see himself failing. He says that it is an inspiration to be the first South African in this spot.

Matt Hardy and Justin Gabriel are in the locker room. Matt points out that Justin is the first rookie of NXT to beat a pro. Justin asks Matt if he would have done anything differently.

Chris Jericho and Wade Barrett enter and Jericho says that Justin did good last week, but not good enough because Wade will beat him. Jericho reminds Gabriel that he is the best in the world and to put two and two together.

Wade points out that last week he beat Daniel Bryan last week in under three minutes and Bryan is the fan favorite.

Matt tells Chris that his guy is going to beat Chris’ guy. We have an awkward stare down.

Match Number Two: Heath Slater with Christian versus Carlito with Michael Tarver

Before the match, Carlito tells Heath that he heard what Heath said about last week. Carlito says that Heath should be honored about what happened last week and he says that Heath should be begging him to spit in his face again.

Carlito bites his apple and then he stands in Slater’s face but Slater ducks the spit and then he punches Carlito. Carlito with a back elbow and the referee holds him off. We go to commercial.

We are back and Carlito with an arm bar. We see the footage from before the commercial. Slater backs Carlito into the corner and then Carlito kicks Slater after a break. Carlito slaps Slater and then Carlito charges at Slater and he sends Carlito over the top rope to the floor. Carlito returns to the ring and he punches Slater in the corner. Carlito with an Irish whip but Slater moves when Carlito charges into the corner. Slater with punches and a kick but Carlito with a boot to the head for a near fall. Carlito with a rear chin lock and a forearm to the back. Carlito throws Slater over the top rope but Slater lands on the apron. Slater with a shoulder and he tries for a sunset flip but Carlito holds on to the ropes. Carlito has some words for Christian before returning to Slater and he stretches Slater and works on his back. Carlito with a knee and shoulders in the corner. Christian provides some advice to Slater and Slater moves when Carlito charges into the corner. Slater with a clothesline and back elbow followed by a flapjack for a near fall. Carlito with a sit out spinebuster. Carlito looks for his apple and Christian takes it and tosses it to Tarver. Carlito sets for the lungblower but Slater with a jackknife cover for a two count. Carlito with a rollup but Slater rolls through and gets the three count.
Winner: Heath Slater

After the match, Christian and Slater celebrate in the ring.

It is time for a Darren Young video package. He says that this is his dream, chance, and destiny. He says that he was ecstatic to be a part of NXT. He says that he has worked so hard to get where he is and now he needs to capitalize on it. He says that he has an open attitude when he comes to the ring. He says that he is here to entertain. He talks about growing up and being a fan of Ricky Steamboat and Shawn Michaels. Darren says that nobody is going to stop him from achieving his dream.

We go to CM Punk with Serena and Luke Gallows. Punk wonders if their involvement has led to Darren’s win last week. Darren says that he understands Punk’s lifestyle but he wants to be able to live his own life. Punk has Serena and Luke tell Darren who the pro and rookie are. Darren says that you can follow Straight Edge and succeed or try to do it your own way. Punk leaves with Serena and Luke as Darren stands in the back and we go to commercial.

We are back with the Raw Rebound.

Match Number Three; Wade Barrett with Chris Jericho versus Justin Gabriel with Matt Hardy

Barrett with a kick and punch but Gabriel lands on his feet on a hip toss and gets a leg sweep. Barrett catches Gabriel off the turnbuckles and then connects with shoulders to the back and punches him. Barrett stretches Gabriel in the ropes. Barrett goes to the apron and drops Gabriel on the top rope and gets a near fall. Barrett with a seated abdominal stretch. Gabriel kicks Barrett in the head and then Gabriel with a spin kick and a discus punch. Barrett catches Gabriel but Gabriel with a sunset flip for a near fall. Barrett with a slingshot back breaker for a near fall. Barrett with slams to Gabriel as he continues to work on Gabriel’s back. Barrett puts Gabriel on the top turnbuckle but Gabriel with forearms that knock Barrett to the mat. Gabriel hits the 450 Splash for the three count.
Winner: Justin Gabriel

After the match, Jericho throws Hardy out of the ring and then he hits a Codebreaker on Gabriel. Jericho tells Barrett to come into the ring and Jericho puts Gabriel in the Walls of Jericho and Gabriel taps despite it not being a match.

We go to credits.

Spoilers: TNA iMPACT Tapings – March 15th

- Thanks to JP Nichols and PWInsider for these spoilers from tonight’s iMPACT tapings in Orlando:

In a Dark Match: Homicide defeated Ken Doane with an Ace Crusher in what was described as a solid match for Doane.

In a Dark Match: Jay Lethal defeated Kazuchika Okada with an elbow drop.

In an Xplosion Match: Kazarian and Amazing Red defeat Brian Kendrick and Daniels when Kazarian pinned Kendrick.

After the opening pyro:

AJ Styles and Ric Flair come out. Styles gets on the mic and calls Abyss a scary looking but stupid monster. Styles asks Abyss if he really thinks that a ring will help him. A.J. comments on their previous matches. Styles says that much like the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus, he does not believe in magical rings. Styles says that he considers himself a gift from God. Flair gets on the mic and rambles about Hogan and Abyss.

Jeff Hardy’s music plays and Jeff comes out to the ring. A.J. asks Jeff who he thinks he is and then he calls Hardy a nobody. Styles says that since Hardy wants to put his hands on him and Flair, that they should go at it tonight. Hardy gets on the mic and says it will be a breeze. AJ Styles versus Jeff Hardy is announced for tonight.

Mick Foley and Eric Bischoff are on the screen. Foley apologizes for messing up last week. Eric says that tonight, in the ring they will shave Foley’s head and beard to make a citizen out of him.

They show another video. This time it is the Nasty boys beating up Jesse Neal and putting him through a table.

The Nasty Boys come out for a six man tag match with Jimmy Hart against Team 3D and Jesse Neal. The Nasty Boys and Hart act as if it is going to be a handicap match as a result of the earlier attack on Jesse Neal. Brother Ray says that is not the case and brings out Brother Runt.

Nasty Boys and Jimmy Hart defeated Brother Ray, Brother Devon, and Brother Runt. Jimmy Hart pinned Ray after Saggs hit Ray with the helmet while the referee was distracted. After the match the Nasty Boys bring in a table to put 3D through, but Jesse Neal comes out with his ribs taped for the save. Jesse and Team 3D put Saggs through the table.

Angelina Love is interviewed in the back. She talks about how it sucks that she and Tara lost. Angelina issues an open challenge to any member of the Beautiful People for tonight, especially Velvet Sky. Angelina calls them rip offs of her since she is the original. Angelina says that she thinks that she may need to go on her own quest to take out the trash one beautiful person at a time.

They show yet another video with Borash interviewing The Band saying that their match at Destination X is official. They say that it should not be an issue. Nash and Eric Young walk up and mention to Hall how he likes money and gives Hall money for five minutes with him in the ring tonight. Hall accepts the challenge.

Kurt Angle and D’Angelo Dinero defeat Ken Anderson and Desmond Wolfe when Dinero got a small package on Wolfe. After the match, Wolfe attacks pope and they fight up the ramp. Anderson lays out Angle and attacks him with the tag and that busts open Angle. Anderson says that this beat down was only a small taste of what will happen at the PPV.

They show another video and it is of Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam with Hulk Hogan backstage. Abyss is the special enforcer for the Hardy/Styles match and tells Van Dam that he has something special in store for him. Eric Bischoff comes in when they leave and he talks about the surprises on Monday but wishes that Hogan had told him about the surprises. There seems to be some tension between Hogan and Bischoff.

Angelina Love comes out for her match and all three members of the Beautiful People come out. They introduce a new member of the group, for one night only and it is Daffney.

Angelina Love defeats Daffney by disqualification. Daffney attacks Angelina from behind and tries to use a hammer but it did not work because of the referee. Velvet, Madison, and Lacey get involved leading to Angelina getting the win by disqualification. All four attack Angelina after the match. Daffney goes up the ramp to get the ugly stick but the referee tries to stop her. Tara hops over the rail and lays out the Velvet, Madison, and Lacey before staring down Daffney.

Kevin Nash versus Scott Hall in the Five Minute Challenge. Waltman comes out with handcuffs and they handcuff Nash to the ropes and put the boots to him. Eric Young comes out for the save and gets the upper hand for a short period of time but Hall and Waltman take the $25,000 and leave.

Hogan comes out and says that he can’t get the image out of head of Abyss saying ‘why sting why’ and Hogan wants an answer from Sting. Sting makes his way down but Van Dam jumps him and Van Dam beats Sting up as they fight around the ring. Van Dam rolls Sting into the ring and Van Dam throws Hogan the bat. Bischoff comes out with security and wants to know what Hogan is doing. Bischoff has security escort Sting out of the building. Bischoff calls out Hogan on saying that he won’t wrestle and how he is supposed to be leading the company. Hogan gives no response and Eric leaves the ring.

Hernandez and Jeff Jarrett are seen backstage. Hernandez tells Jeff that he will help him take on Beer Money in a match tonight. Eric Bischoff overhears this and interrupts the conversation saying that will not happen. Eric says that Hernandez will face Beer Money in a handicap match with Jarrett as the referee. Eric tells Jarrett to call it right down the middle.

Beer Money defeated Hernandez with the DWI. During the match, Matt Morgan came out and was on commentary but left before the end of the match. After the match, Beer Money attacked Jarrett and were posing to the crowd until Jarrett made a comeback and Hernandez joined Jarrett and took care of Beer Money.

Eric Bischoff comes out for the grooming of Mick Foley. They have a barber chair set up in the ring. Eric calls out Foley and sits down in the chair. Foley stops Eric when he goes to shave his head and hits him with Mr. Socko. Foley puts Bischoff in the chair and shaves Eric’s head.

The Ultimate X structure is being brought out to hype the Ultimate X match at the Generation X pay per view.

The Motor City Machine Guns come out. Chris Sabin takes a mic and says that Destination X will be a night to remember. Not only is it the return of Ultimate X with the winner becoming the Number One Contenders to the TNA World Tag Titles, but it will be the start to the Motor City Era. Sabin calls out Generation Me for coming into their turf and asks who they have beaten. Generation Me comes out and reminds Sabin that they beat the Machine Guns in their debut. Shelley says it was just luck and then says that Motor City is the Xbox while Generation Me are Ataris. He also says that they are the Ferraris to Generation Me’s station wagons. He says that they can keep talking about this or the time where the Guns got with Generation Me’s girlfriends. This leads to a brawl with all four men getting involved. Brian Kendrick comes out to save the Guns. Amazing Red comes out to take out Kendrick. Daniels comes out to take care of Red. Kazarian comes out with a ladder and hits Daniels with it. Generation Me do dives off the Ultimate X towers onto the guns. They set up the ladder and Red dives off the ladder onto Kendrick, Daniels, and the Guns on the outside. Red, Kazarian, and Generation Me pose together in the ring. (This was described as a crazy segment).

The match between A.J. Styles and Jeff Hardy is a non-title match.

Jeff Hardy defeats TNA World Heavyweight Champion A.J. Styles with a Swanton. There was a ref bump about ten minutes into the match. After the referee was knocked out A.J. went for a springboard 450 but missed. Hardy hit the Twist of Fate and Swanton with Abyss making the three count. After the match, Flair hit Hardy with a chair. Flair went to hit Abyss and they started going up the ramp with Flair repeatedly trying to hit Abyss. They got to the end of the ramp and Abyss Hulked up and choke slammed Flair shoulder first through the ramp. Abyss then did the ‘finger point of doom’ towards Styles who was sitting in the corner of the ring holding the TNA World Heavyweight Title belt closely.
