We are live on tape from Kansas City, Missouri and your announcers are Todd ‘I wish JR was here so we could get some good BBQ’ Grisham and Matt ‘He’s my favorite cricket’ Striker.
Chris Jericho comes out and he is not dressed to wrestle. He gets a mic and then he tells the crowd that he has made a career out of doing what the failures in the crowd hoped they could do. He has made an art form out of accomplishing the impossible and looking down the barrel of an insurmountable odd, but he has done it again and again. Jericho says that he did it when he defeated The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin in the same night to become the first Undisputed Champion. He did it again when he humiliated Shawn Michaels in a ladder match to win the World Title. Last Friday, he did what so few have been able to do, he drove the Phenom to his knees and he beat the Undertaker. We see footage from last week when Jericho got the win.

Jericho reminds us that he beat the Undertaker. He says that he proved that the Dead Man is only a man. He says that if that isn’t enough to cement his legendary status when he enters the Elimination Chamber for the sixth time and emerge as a World Champion for the sixth time. He says that average people curl up when faced with adversity. They hide behind delusions of grandeur, but Jericho says that he does not hide behind anything because he doesn’t have to. He says that he deals in reality and on Sunday, he will come out of the Elimination Chamber . . .

Stop that thought because Edge’s music plays and he comes to the ring. Edge tells Chris that it is refreshing to hear that Chris understands what a big deal it is to beat the Undertaker. Edge says that he has done it and there is an elite club, like getting a hole in one, pitching a no hitter, winning the Stanley Cup, or knocking out Muhammad Ali. It is actually bigger than all of those things.

Jericho says that he did it because he is the best in the world at what he does. Edge says that Jericho didn’t show everything that happened last week, so we see some more footage from last week when Edge interfered in the match between Jericho and Taker.

Edge tells Jericho that he didn’t do it to help Chris, but he did it because the Undertaker kicked him in the face. Edge tells Chris that he is not as good as he thinks he is. Edge says that he doesn’t think that Jericho would have beaten the Undertaker if he didn’t spear him first.

Jericho says that Edge shouldn’t be so worried about the past, but he should be worried about the future. Jericho reminds Edge that he is going to win the Elimination Chamber. He says that when he does, Edge should stay away from him and face the Raw Chamber winner at Wrestlemania. Jericho reminds Edge that when he is around him, bad things happen. If Edge continues to poke and prod him, he will hurt Edge.

Edge tells Chris that the more he hears his voice buzzing around in his head saying the same things over and over again, the more he wants to knock the condescending holier than thou look on his face. Edge says that he hopes that Jericho wins the Elimination Chamber so he can do it. Edge also tells Jericho that he shouldn’t worry about what he can do to him in the future, he should worry about what he can do right now.

The building has an energy surge but then Edge hits a spear on Jericho and Jericho leaves the ring.

We go to commercial.
