A war between Star Trek and Angels & Demons!

Angels & Demons took the top spot this week, debuting #1 at the box office, earning $48 million. The film had the highest per theater average of any in the top ten with $13,609 per theater.

Star Trek fell to the #2 spot, earning $43 million and raising its two-week total to $147.6 million.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine fell one spot to #3, earning $14.8 million and taking its three-week total to $151 million. The film had a $150 million budget.

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past fell one spot to #4 in its third weekend, earning $6.8 million and taking its three-week total to $40 million.

Obsessed fell one spot to #5 in its fourth weekend, earning $4.5 million, and taking its total to $62.5 million. The film had a $20 million budget.

17 Again fell one spot to #6 in its fifth weekend, earning $3.4 million and raising its five-week total to $58.3 million.

Monsters vs. Aliens jumped up to the #7 spot this week, earning $3 million and taking its total to $190.5 million. The film had a $175 million budget.

The Soloist fell one spot to #8, earning $2.4 million and raising its four-week total to $27.5 million.

Next Day Air fell three spots in its second week, earning $2.2 million, and raising its total to $7.6 million.

Earth (2009) fell one spot to round out the top 10, earning $1.6 million, raising its four-week total to $29 million.
