Madonna threw her adopted son David a racing-themed party on Friday to celebrate the one-year anniversary of him officially becoming her boy.

The pop superstar’s adoption of the Malawian three year old was finalized in May, 2008 - and Madonna was keen not to let the anniversary pass without a bash.

She turned her Sunset Boulevard home in Los Angeles into a race track for the day and kitted the driveway out with checkered flags and balloons.

Madonna also hired Hot Wheels goodies, so speedy David, his brother Rocco and friends could enjoy a race day.
